Kayaking

Today Puerto Natales has agencies kayak tours operators, having made a strong equipment, training and fitness guides safety standards, to allow you to enjoy and explore Patagonia.
Kayaking can be practiced on the following areas: Última Esperanza Fjord, Eberhard Fjord, Río Serrano sailing through icebergs on Grey Lake, Serrano glacier among others.

Lago Grey Tour

This beautiful lake starts on the south wing of the Southern Ice Field. Here you will be able to appreciate gigantic icebergs falling from the very base of the glacier, providing excellent scenery and at the same time, giving the opportunity to watch the Paine massif from several different angles. From here you can also sail among icebergs and arrive to the wall of Grey Glacier. Sailing time is about three hours.

Sport Fishing

Lago Balmaceda
Vast lake that flows into Hollemberg River towards Almirante Montt Gulf. It is located 28 kilometers southwest to the city of Puerto Natales with excellent resources for sport fishing. Picnicking and camping are allowed on its coastline and it also gives the opportunity to practice bird-watching since there is a wide variety here:black-necked swans,ducks,seagulls, pilpilenes, playeros and, if you are lucky,flamingoes.

Laguna Sofia
Wide lagoon situated 30 Km northeast the city of Puerto Natales, next to Mylodon Cave National Monument and between Sierra Señoret and Cerro Benitez. This is a perfect area for sailing on zodiac boats, swimming, sport fishing or just visiting and walking around the area enjoying its natural beauties.

Rio Serrano
Located 168 Km away from Puerto Natales, it is a natural border of Torres del Paine national park. It flows from Lago Toro and opens into Seno de Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope Sound). It is a good river for fishing activities and there are good accommodation facilities. Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers
This is an unmissable sailing trip. It starts in Puerto Natales to continue sailing around Last Hope Fjord. During the journey, nature surprises the traveler: fantastic hills and native forests, seadogs gamboling around the rocks, cormorants and condors unfolding there wings spice up the beautiful views. The vessel gets close to Balmaceda Glacier and then it stops in Puerto Toro for a stroll through the forests until the lagoon after the icebergs of Serrano Glacier.
