Enjoying cultural activities in an environment where nature is so predominant and strong, becomes a unique experience that will be forever kept in your memories.

PATAGONIAN CINEMA SEASON

This is a cultural-artistic activity, featuring national and international movies and short films. The starting film is usually presented inside the Natural monument Mylodon Cave and some buses are available for the public to get to the site. Afterwards, the rest of the programmed movies are presented in Puerto Natales city.

Location: Puerto Natales and Mylodon Cave (24 Km to the North of Puerto Natales)

Date: Around February every year.

FESTIVAL OF TRADITIONAL CUSTOMS OF CHILOE – FESTIVAL COSTUMBRISTA CHILOTE

The main idea of this event is to rescue and to keep traditions and culture of Isla Grande in Chiloe. Many organizations participate in this festival with stands offering a wide array of the delicious and diverse dishes from Chiloe together with the most typical regional gastronomy with barbecues or asados, milcaos, curantos, chuchoca, etc.

During the event, some artistic activities are performed. An entrance fee is charged

CHILEAN RODEO

This traditional national sport is carried out in the Torres del Paine area in Cerro Castillo Village. More than 30 colleras or couples from all over the region participate. In this customary party, you can find traditional demonstrations full of riding skills, such as “Sello de Raza“ and “Movimiento de Riendas” where riders show all their expertise on their energetic horses before the delighted eyes of the audience.

CHILEAN EVENING – FIESTA A LA CHILENA.

This festival represents the very rooted customs of countryside people, a faithful representative of Magellan slopes. The activities carried out are: horse and cattle taming, apialadura (a particular way of lassoing cattle), horse endurance races, sheepdog training, axe abilities and a dancing popular party to end the activities with all the inhabitants and tourists as guests.

Sports Events

LAS TRES HORAS DE PUERTO NATALES CAR RACE

This is a car race show, where national and international pilots participate to show their skills at the wheel. In general, pilots usually train quite a lot before the meeting and so does the community of Puerto Natales.

The three hours are carried out in two stages; the first day is the classification stage and the second day is when the race actually takes place.

TORRES DEL PAINE RALLY

This rally is organized by the Torres del Paine City Hall. It covers the internal roads of the shire, starting from the Portería (Gate) Sarmiento of Torres del Paine National Park an then through Laguna Amarga, Laguna Azul, Estancia (Ranch) Lazo – Hostería Mirador del Paine, finishing at Cerro Castillo Village.

This is a privileged circuit due to its geographic location and to the natural and unique beauty of Torres del Paine National Park.
